Elliot Zinger
Elliot Zinger has been a trial lawyer since he graduated with honors from John Marshall Law School in 1980. Mr. Zinger’s article entitled “McDonalds’ Anti-trust  Litigation, Tying Agreements in Trademark Franchising” was the lead article published in the John Marshall Law Review, Volume 13, Spring 1980, Number 3. Mr. Zinger was, in fact the only evening student enrolled at John Marshall who participated in the John Marshall Law Review.

After graduating in 1980, Mr. Zinger served three years as an Assistant Public Defender handling thousands of criminal and civil cases in both the trial and appellate divisions of the office. The legal issue developed solely by Mr. Zinger in the infamous murder case of The People v. Patricia Columbo was the only argument ultimately raised before the United States Supreme Court.

Since 1983, Mr. Zinger has been the principal attorney in his own law firm, Elliot R. Zinger and Associates, which concentrates in both criminal and civil litigation. Mr. Zinger has tried and settled numerous civil cases which resulted in millions of dollars for his clients.  A particular area of concentration for Mr. Zinger in civil practice has been in brain injury litigation.  In the criminal defense field, Mr. Zinger has worked on approximately 35 first degree murder cases.

Mr. Zinger was born in 1952 and raised in New York City. Mr. Zinger graduated from the City University of New York, Herbert H. Lehman College in 1973. Mr. Zinger is married and the proud father of twins.

Patrick Walsh
Patrick Walsh has been employed with Elliot Zinger & Associates since 2003. Since then, Mr. Walsh has successfully tried numerous personal injury and criminal trials. He is an active member in the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

Patrick Walsh received his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School. While at John Marshall, Mr. Walsh was a member The John Marshall Law Review. The John Marshall Law Review is within the top 15% of the most widely read law reviews in the United Sates. In 2004, he was chosen as an editor of The John Marshall Law Review. Later that same year, his law review article, “Stemming the Tide of Stem Cell Research: The Bush Compromise” was chosen for publication in the spring addition of The John Marshall Law Review. Mr. Walsh was also a student advisor and student ambassador during his tenure at John Marshall. Mr. Walsh made multiple appearances on the Dean’s List and received the Dean’s Scholarship for academic excellence.

In April 2005, Mr. Walsh was chosen to be a panelist on the PBS Television show “Chicago Justice,” hosted by ABC Channel 7’s Joel Daly. Mr. Walsh was a panelist in a roundtable discussion emceed by Mr. Daly focused on post-conviction procedure in the State of Illinois and how it pertained to Williams Heirens, better known as the “Lipstick Killer.”

Before attending law school, Mr. Walsh was a futures trader and broker at the Chicago Board of Trade. He traded 30-year Treasury Bonds and options as well as Dow Jones Futures. In 1996, he was elected co-chairman of the evening session Treasury Bond Pit Committee, one of the youngest to be so elected in the history of the Chicago Board of Trade.

Mr. Walsh received a bachelor of science in accounting from Millikin University in 1992. While at Millikin, Mr. Walsh qualified for the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and achieved the top G.P.A. of his freshman class. In 1991, Mr. Walsh was chosen from applicants across the country to join the Institute of European Studies in London, England. While in England, Mr. Walsh studied at the prestigious London School of Economics and University of London.
